How to choose the right space for your event

Finding the right wedding space near Winston-Salem, a corporate event, or social occasion, is a combination of capacity, logistics, atmosphere, and budget. You want a space that can fulfill a vision and provide a comfortable environment for your guests. Here are a few questions to help you get started.

You want guests to mix comfortably – but you don’t want a room with an echo. Discuss your event with your venue manager. Capacity (i.e. guest count) is determined by the type of event as well as what is happening in the space.

You need to know the time of year you want to host your event, if not the specific date and time, so you can check availability. And how long will it last? You’ll also want to have an idea of what you need for food and beverage.

Timelines vary when it comes to booking a Winston-Salem event venue. Weddings are typically booked at least 12-18 months in advance. The same is true for major corporate galas. Other social events are booked 3-6 months out. Weekday corporate events have greater flexibility, depending on the size of the function.
